Description

(CHEM 201) Same as CHBE 201. On-campus planning and discussion of cooperative work-study education programs in industry and government. Seminar format with student led discussions. Each chemistry or chemical & biomolecular engineering student participating in the cooperative education program must register for CHEM 291/ CHBE 201 or CHBE 202 each term (CHBE 201 if on-campus, CHBE 202 if off-campus).

Goals: Help students prepare for and derive the most benefit from their upcoming work experience.

Topics may include:

  • emotional intelligence
  • networking
  • generation theory
  • leadership
  • decision making theory
  • other areas relevant to the successful worker.
